HOUSE CLEANING SERVICES UPDATED

Elegant Empire has closely monitored the situation regarding the COVID-19 (coronavirus) and its impact in our community. The health and safety of our clients is our highest priority during this time. While we are unable control the impact or unpredictability of this virus, we have take preventive measures as requested by local,state, and national agencies. We are currently acting with diligence in our day-to-day service with basic preventative safety measures following the guidance set forth by the U.S. Federal Government, Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and other health agencies, including:

  • Cleaning hands at proper intervals, for at least 20 seconds.

  • Using an alcohol-based hand sanitizer or soap and water.

  • Keeping the recommended 6 feet from people.

  • Cleaning hi traffic areas and frequently touched surfaces.

  • Covering cough or sneeze with a tissue.

  • Keeping staff home if they feel any of the "possible" symptoms indicative of coronavirus infection

 

We request our customers to let us know in advance of a service appointment if there are any concerns, or if they would like us to take special precautions other than those listed here.  We will continue to closely monitor the situation surrounding the Coronavirus and do our part help disinfect all areas expected by our clients.

This is in order to eliminate any confusion or misinterpretation and staff have been instructed to inform us of any customer questions.  Furthermore, because of the sensitive and developing nature of the rules regarding the virus, staff may not have the most current information or be able to answer a specific question in an accurate understandable manner. 

General Guide lines:

  • In your home, our cleaning associates use a sanitizing solution to wipe down light switches, doorknobs, bathroom surfaces, and other commonly touched areas. We clean and sanitize your home using products that include certain Environmental Protection Association (EPA) registered disinfecting products and proper cleaning methods, such as mopping with microfiber mops, which are able to reduce bacteria clusters by as much as  99%.

  • Our cleaning associates switch out all cleaning cloths and mop heads between homes and thoroughly launder them between usage.

  • Our cleaning associates have the  opportunity to wash their hands with soap and water and use antibacterial hand sanitizer before entering each house or commercial space.

  • Associates  use a face mask when entering a home or business with occupants.

  • We are closely monitoring national, state and local health agencies for the most recent developments and following the guidance of government and public health officials.

Detailed Cleaning and Disinfecting Protocols:

 

As recommended by local and CDC reopening guidelines, staff has been instructed to use cleaning products approved for use against COVID-19 on the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)-approved list and follow product instructions. In addition, staff may use disinfectants labeled to be effective against emerging viral pathogens, diluted household bleach solutions (5 tablespoons per gallon of water), or alcohol solutions with at least 70% alcohol that are appropriate for the surface. Staff using cleaners or disinfectants know to wear gloves and other protective equipment as required by the product.

 

In accordance to local reopening guidelines and as an effort to minimize any potential exposure or spread of the virus, our Cleaning staffs have been instructed to follow these steps when servicing Vacation Rentals:

  • Perform thorough cleaning in high traffic areas including stairways, stairwells, handrails, door handles, light switches, phones, washer and dryer doors and controls, toilets, bed rails, tables, TV remotes, headboards, counter tops, kitchen appliances, refrigerator handles, stove knobs, mirrors, all counters and hand washing facilities.   

  • Vacuum cleaners equipped with HEPA filters are used on all vacuum safe surfaces.  Sweeping floors with a broom will be avoided; if possible, use a vacuum cleaner instead.

  •  Kitchen items, including pots, pans, and utensils, are cleaned between each guest stay. Properly clean all appliances and kitchen areas, including refrigerator shelving, the oven stovetop, coffee-makers, toasters, pantry shelves, and other areas.

  • All linens must be removed and laundered between each guest stay. When cleaning bedding, towels, or other laundered items wear disposable gloves when handling dirty laundry and discard them after each use. Wash hands with soap or use hand sanitizer immediately after gloves are removed.   Launder items using the warmest appropriate water setting for the items and dry items completely. Clean and disinfect laundry hampers according to guidance above for surfaces. guidelines. Do not shake dirty laundry. This will minimize the possibility of dispersing virus through the air.  

  • Remove all leftover recycling, garbage, and trash from the rental unit. Empty any food items the previous guest may have left in the refrigerator, freezer, and pantry.

  • After each guest stay, properly clean all appliances and kitchen areas, including refrigerator shelving, the oven stove top, coffee-makers, toasters, pantry shelves, and other areas.

  • Bathroom toilets, showers, bathtubs, sinks, cabinets, and shelving should be sprayed with a multi-surface cleaner approved for use against COVID-19 by the EPA. Mirrors and any glass should be properly wiped down. The bathroom floor should also be vacuumed and/or mopped.

Coronavirus & other Pathogen Waiver & Release of Liability: ACKNOWLEDGEMENT & ASSUMPTION OF RISK

 

We care about your health and well-being, so Elegant Empire LLC has made its best efforts to take the precautions recommended by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (the “CDC”) for businesses who provide services to customers during the COVID-19 crisis. This includes those recommendations set forth in the CDC’s Interim Guidance for Businesses and Employers to Plan and Respond to Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) and Cleaning and Disinfecting Facilities. We are also making our best efforts to comply with relevant OSHA workplace safety and hygiene rules.

 

In addition, when deemed necessary, Elegant Empire LLC staff  perform self screening each morning before beginning work to ensure that no cleaning staff:

(1) Is suffering any of the known symptoms of COVID-19 (Including running a fever above 100°, muscle aches, having a dry cough, experiencing shortness of breath, or a loss of taste/smell); or

(2) Has knowingly been exposed to a known or likely COVID-19 candidate or quarantined individual in the past two weeks.

 

However, it is also suspected that some individuals without symptoms may still be capable of infecting others with COVID-19 and, despite precautions, the virus may still be present and capable of infecting individuals. Knowing this information, I (client requesting service) voluntarily elect to continue with my scheduled appointment with Elegant Empire LLC and I hereby agree to accept and assume any and all risks of personal injury or death associated with the COVID-19 Pandemic or other known pathogens. WAIVER OF LIABILITY AND INDEMNIFICATION In consideration for receiving residential or commercial cleaning services at my residence or place of business, on behalf of myself, my personal representatives, heirs, next of kin, successor and assigns, I forever:

1. (a) waive, release and discharge Elegant Empire LLC, its agencies, officers, and employees for any and all negligence and liability for my personal injury, disability, death, or claims of any nature which may hereafter accrue to me and my estate, as a direct or indirect result of my receiving the above-referenced residential or commercial cleaning services; and

2. (b) defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Elegant Empire LLC, its agencies, officers, and employees from any and all claims of any nature, including all costs, expenses, and attorney’s fees, which may in any manner result from or arise out of this Agreement, except for claims resulting from or arising out of Elegant Empire LLC's  willful or intentional negligence. This release, indemnification and waiver shall be construed broadly to provide a release, indemnification, and waiver to the maximum extent permissible under applicable law. I, the undersigned, affirm that I am at least 18 years of age and am freely agreeing to this agreement or that I am agreeing to this agreement on behalf of a minor child that I have the legal authority to sign such agreements on behalf of. I have read this form and fully understand that by agreeing to this Waiver and Indemnification I am giving up legal rights and/or remedies which may otherwise be available to me regarding any losses I may sustain as a result of my appointment. I agree that if any portion of this Agreement is held invalid, the remainder will continue in full legal force and effect. My continued acceptance of service is legal substitute for any digital or physical signature and further confirms that I agree to this Waiver & Release of Liability.
